The Board of Directors for Pacific Region Oasis welcomed 125 guests to their Inaugural Luncheon on May 24th at the Doubletree Hotel in Culver City. The event highlighted Oasis healthy aging programs and a new Kaiser Permanente medical facility opening soon in Baldwin Hills, two blocks from Oasis at Crenshaw Plaza.

Dr. Howard J. Fullman, area medical director and chief of staff at Kaiser Permanente, West Los Angeles was the keynote speaker.

“Oasis offers classes that emphasize health, prevention, evidence-based programs, and wellness to keep adults out of emergency rooms. We believe Oasis and Kaiser embrace the same philosophy of wellness,” said Dr. Earnestine Thomas-Robertson, chairman of the Pacific Region Oasis board.

Two former Pacific Region Oasis board members were honored at the luncheon – Dr. Thelma Eaton, retired department chair at Whittier College and advocate for wellness in the Crenshaw community, and Marcia Kerz, retired president of the Oasis Institute in St. Louis, Missouri.
